30 Days of Thanks: November 25, 2012

Today, I’m thankful for our church home, Destiny Worship Center.

I always take something away from the sermons because Pastor Steve makes them so applicable to life in today’s world. There are also many opportunities to help the community through DWC Missions. Last weekend David and I helped deliver food for Thanksgiving to needy people in our area. And we’re also buying Christmas presents for a foster child. Earlier this year we sponsored a backpack for a needy child, and I delivered mother’s day baskets to single mothers.

Not only that, but I’ve also received prayer calls from the staff before both of my oral surgeries this year.

I also love the Women of Destiny events they put on. My mother-in-law have gone to most of them this year, and we’re both looking forward to the Christmas party this Friday.
