Who knew there were so many wedding vendors in the tiny, sparsely populated Okaloosa County, FL? A few weeks ago, David’s mother went to a bridal show in Fort Walton Beach and mailed us a 9lb box full of brochures, flyers and other information from the area’s wedding vendors. After browsing through the informational material and picking out only what I might be interested in, this is what was left:
Crazy huh? But we have made one important decision (besides selecting our reception venue).
Shortly after we got engaged, we decided we wanted to have engagement pictures taken in Washington, D.C. because of all of the monuments and history. We found an amazing photographer – Garrett Hubbard – who is also a “visual journalist” for USA Today. We are going to have our pictures taken around the Jefferson Memorial (our favorite) on March 13 (we asked for a semi-warm date – we wouldn’t survive if we had them taken any sooner!) I absolute love Garrett’s work and even though we’ve only talked over email, he seems like a really nice person, too. (UPDATE: Because of rainy weather, we had to move the date of our engagement session to March 21 — coincidentally, that was also the night that Congress voted on the health care bill).
